Where is My Church?

Updated: Dec 12, 2022

"But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?" ~Genesis 3:9

The first thing God said to Adam when he entered the garden after he fell in Satan's trap was, "Where are you?" He knew that Adam had blown it, yet He didn't scream for him. He didn't shake his fist. Can you hear the soft tone in His voice with this question, "Where are you? Where are you, Adam?" God's heart missed him and it ached as He knew things had forever changed. Can you hear it? Can you feel the pain in your heart? God's plan was shattered by the voice of the serpent and so was His heart.

Here we are today, thousands of years gone by. With pain in His voice, again I hear Him saying, "Where are you? My church, where are you?"

The virus came and the flock trembled. Evil voices rose up with thundering threats of plague and cries of desperate sickness. Fear instilled at every turn. Taunts of mass death and destruction - man's evil snare to comply!

Where are the shepherds that know My Word? Who will teach my flock that My Word and My promises are true? Who will lead them from the danger; but only a few. Only a few brave prophets choose to lead the way. They know My Word and they know My Way.

Where is My church? Where are My shepherds? Who will warn my sheep and command them to trust only Me? I am the Great I Am and nothing is too hard for Me. Under my wings you can abide, there you will find refuge and there you can safely hide. (Psalm 91:4)

Fear grows and the evil voices grow louder. Church, where are you? Why did you retreat and why did you close your doors? My flock needs a shepherd. You shut them out and turned a blind eye! You pulled out of the world and did not try. My flock needs to be led from the evil that looms; don't you hear their cries?

Church, please reassure them that only I can save. My promises are solid and forever hold true. The plots of man will prevail, oh church, you must tell them not to comply. Why do you hide and cover your eyes? Where is your voice to speak truth to all of these lies? My people suffer for lack of knowledge. No scheme of man can be their protection from the pestilence that stalks and the plague that destroys. Church, it will not come near you when you declare that I am your refuge. (Psalm 91:10)

My doctor's rose up, they spoke the truth. They pleaded for all to listen. "Do not fear. Do not dread. We can treat this," they said. The evil voices got louder and evil became stronger as the church sat quiet and the doctors got silenced. Church, where are you, why do you hide? Get in the battle! Feed My sheep, tell them the truth. Evil is rising and they need a shepherd. Tell them that I command My angels to defend and protect them. (Psalm 91:11)

Man's remedy is poison and their potion is evil. Oh, church, where are you? Do not hide. Do not fear. Wrestle this lion at your door. I will be with you and I will fight for you. "You will tread on the lion and the cobra, you will trample." (Psalm 91:13)

Oh, My church, if you love me, I will rescue you. (Psalm 91:14) Call on me and I will answer, I will be with you in trouble, I will deliver and honor you and with long life I will satisfy you. (Psalm 91:15)

The mandates they came and terror set in. How will we eat and how will we live? Oh church, where are you? Get in the fight, get in the ring! Stand up for my flock and exempt them from this thing.

The church stayed silent and the church stayed out. The flock was deceived and the flock got hurt. Oh, shepherds, Wake Up! Time is at hand. Look and see. Evil surrounds you and you need to break free. Don't take the bait and don't comply to the state. Stand up. Stand up. The hour is late!

How is it possible that the church went silent when the flock needed her protection the most? Deception, deception everywhere. God, help us and God forgive us.

Pray with me...

Heavenly Father,

Oh how Your heart must break when we don't obey and we hide in fear. Forgive us, Lord. Forgive our lack of trust and forgive us for trusting in man above You. Lead us out of the grip of the enemy and away from the doors we have opened to him. Heal us, please, Father. Heal the damage that all of this has done.

Protect our sweet children. Rescue them from the plots and schemes rising against them.

We trust You above all else. Cover us with Your wings as we abide in Your shelter. Unveil our eyes to see the truth. Open hearts to draw near to You. Wash us white as snow.

So many hurt and so many injured. Show them that by Your stripes they can become new. Nothing is too hard for You!

Heal our bodies and heal our land. Send in Your angels to protect and defend. We cry out to You as the hour is late. Cover us and protect us. Fill us and use us for Your glory to the very end. In Jesus Name, Amen
