Hello Hope
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. ~Psalm 143:8
Music is vibration. Vibration is measured in hertz. A vibration of 432 Hz is said to be a healing vibration. It is believed to bring balance to both hemispheres of the brain and cause them to be used equally and bring harmony. 528 Hz is called, by some, the frequency of life. Grass and flowers grow at this frequency. Life is filled with vibration. Music can vibrate with love and bring healing, or it can vibrate with evil and sow seeds of deception; so subtle and inconspicuous.
Have you ever listened to a song and felt something deep inside of you move, like something in your soul shifts and you are changed in an instant? Music is a powerful thing! It has a way of capturing our attention. It is a powerful way to convey a message. Have you ever noticed how much easier it is to memorize something when it is set to a tune? Children are taught many lessons and memorize almost effortlessly when words are set to a song.
In 1 Samuel 16, we read about how music was used in Saul's life. Saul was sent a distressing spirit from the Lord and it troubled him. His servants recommended that he send for someone skilled at playing the harp. Saul did, and his servants brought him David.
And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him. ~1 Sam. 16:23
Again, music is a powerful thing!
What are you listening to? Maybe a better question is, what seeds are being planted in your mind by the things that you listen to and what kind of fruit will they produce?
It is better for a man to hear the rebuke of the wise than to hear the song of fools. ~Eccl. 7:5
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. ~Phil. 4:8
It has been weeks since I wrote my last post here on this blog. So much has happened. My life turned upside down in an instant...mentally. emotionally and physically. I wasn't even sure if I could find the strength or courage to pick up my pen again. Honestly, the storms that engulfed us had become all too much. I hit a level of low that I have never experienced before. I sat still. I waited. I had nothing left. I was empty and almost certain that I had been abandoned. Darkness engulfed my soul with doubt, fear, and deep physical pain. Have you ever been there, my friend? A place when life is all too much and all you can do is lay in your bed and wait for time to move on? Hoping that somehow with each passing hour that the storm clouds would roll out and that the sun would break through with just a slither of light to lift up your soul?
That is exactly where I was.
Then came a song! A song that burst in to my darkness and sparked a ray of hope.
My sister, Judy has a knack for finding just the right song for just the right time. She is the kind of friend who, when you share your burden with her, she takes it into her heart and soul like it is her very own. She ponders it, prays about it and finds a way to send you comfort long after your conversation with her is over; truly a gift.
She sent me the song that snapped darkness back! Nothing about my circumstances had changed. BUT, the Holy Spirit moved within the song to break through the storm; in flooded hope and in came joy. Tears flowed and darkness left me.
Hello peace.
Hello joy.
Hello love.
Hello strength.
Hello hope.
It's a new horizon.

Is your heart heavy today? Are you overwhelmed by pain or heartache? Do you need a new song to lift you out of the darkness? I have one... https://youtu.be/TE7ksbmovgo
I pray that this reaches someone who really needs to hear it today and that you feel a shift take place inside of your soul even if your circumstances don't change. I pray that you can join Todd Galberth's declaration in this video, "What was once above me is now under me. What used to put a cap on me is now the thing I walk on! What used to hold me, cannot hold me anymore."
"Heartbreak is not your home, He is!"
Pray with me...
Heavenly Father,
Glory to Your name! Thank You for music that soothes and music that heals. Teach us to guard our hearts and our minds. Teach us to meditate on whatever is true, pure, and of good report. Teach us to fix our minds on things above, especially when the storms of life threaten to rob our hope. You are our shield, our hiding place and our refuge. I pray for all reading this today. I pray that Your tender mercies would pour out on them, touch them and heal them. In Jesus Name
